The IBM Advanced Certificate in Software Engineering (IBM ACSE) is an intensive
program designed by IBM in association with IIT - Kanpur to train graduates in the latest and most industry relevant
development tools in IT. The course provides for a strong programming foundation in Semester 1 and builds proficiency in
Object Oriented Programming, Java and Web Programming and Oracle 8i through Semesters 2 & 3. Students are also imparted
the essence of processes and best practices in software development through the software Engineering module. The faculty
that will take the student through the program is extensively trained by IBM.

The 3-semester intensive training programme that spans 648 hours @ 4 hrs/day, 6 days/week is designed to launch the student into the world of e-careers before the other get there.

Though the student really wouldn't need the assistance of the placement cell, the best opportunities are made available to the student. In fact, many IBM ACSE graduates are currently working with leading software companies.
